I suppose one of the biggest lessons I have learnt as a copywriter is that what you are taught at school, college or university, no longer applies once you enter into the online marketing world.
I came to Soula after finishing a MA in Creative Writing, so I thought I was pretty clued up on how to change my writing style when, where and how clients wanted, but how wrong was I!
I think part of the problem stems from what we are taught at school. From an early age we are told that sentences can never, ever start with an ‘and’, ‘but’ or ‘because’ – as it is simply poor grammar and looks messy.
